Overview
Allows a person intending to marry an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen to travel to Australia for that purpose.
Eligibility Requirements
Genuine intention to marry your sponsoring partner within the visa's validity period.
Have met your sponsor in person, as an adult, before applying.
Sponsor is an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen who meets sponsorship eligibility requirements.
Both parties are generally aged 18 or over.
Meet health and character requirements.
Intend to apply for a Partner visa after marrying, if you wish to remain in Australia permanently.
