Overview
A permanent visa for skilled workers not sponsored by an employer, state/territory or family member, selected via points test.
Eligibility Requirements
Positive skills assessment in an occupation on the relevant skilled occupation list.
Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through SkillSelect and receive an invitation to apply.
Meet the minimum points score at the time of invitation (points awarded for age, English, skilled employment, education and more).
Under 45 years of age at the time of invitation.
Competent English or higher, with more points available for stronger proficiency.
Meet health and character requirements.
